Something that many young women dread!
Today I am a year old- 18 years of age! To many, this is only the beginning of life, but to me this signifies that I AM GETTING OLDER!
Since I started attending the church, at aged 12, I had always been the youngest. The youngest in the Youth Group and when I was called to serve God on the court as an Assistant, I has aged 14. I have always been told that that my mentality as well as my structure was ahead of my years, but to my advantage my age was lagging behind.
Though when I hit 16, it dawned on me that in a few years I will no longer be 'the baby' or 'the youngest' people will no longer awe at the fact that I looked older than my age, and this scared me.
It may sound funny, but I spoke to God about it, I realised a great truth that many women overlook during the ageing process- God is entrusting me with more responsibility and blessing with one more year of life in order to reach out to more souls and draw even more closer to God.
As it is written in Titus 2: ...the older women likewise, that they be reverent in behavior, not slanderers, not given to much wine, teachers of good things— 4 that they admonish the young women to love their husbands, to love their children, 5 to be discreet, chaste, homemakers, good, obedient to their own husbands, that the word of God may not be blasphemed.
(New King James version)In the message translation, which sounds more clearer:... Guide older women into lives of reverence so they end up as neither gossips nor drunks, but models of goodness. By looking at them, the younger women will know how to love their husbands and children, be virtuous and pure, keep a good house, be good wives. We don't want anyone looking down on God's Message because of their behavior.
... and guess what?....
I AM SO EXCITED !!

Nadine, this was something I was also afraid of and to be very honest I didn't want to grow. But after some time I was looking forward to getting older, I felt responsible and way mature than before, form the age of 17 I was already looking forward to getting older. I am also sooo excited!! God has so much to use us for, the older we get....
