Girl.. Tamar inspires me because....

....Of Her Pesistance
Throughout history we read about women who where persistent in their cause, women who believed that what they were fighting for was worth them stopping at nothing until it was accomplished...

.. however when it comes to the Bible a woman that stands out to me is Tamar. Many people know her story remember her historical act of deception. However it makes me to wonder how her outright persistence to bring an heir to the house of Judah lead her to be one of the few females mentioned in the lineage of Jesus.

How many times have we allowed circumstances to defeat our spirit of Pesistance. Even though God has promised us  we manage to ignore that completely and believe the worst about ourselves.

So what if you've tried 100 times, get up and try the 101time!

Now, I know you may be thinking, this is cliché, we hear it in church, we hear it in speeches and in history class about the great leaders of the past.
However, I heard it through the story of a twice widowed, abused woman. Someone who had everything to receive a shoulder to cry on and give up, but her spirit was that of persistence, she was shamed, but she still continued to hope.

I'm not condoning deception, rather the contrary I'm encouraging you to be honest with yourself. Do you really fight for your dreams the way you say?
Do you really want to change, to grow, to be an inspiration like you say?

Or, are you at the 100th hurdle, getting ready to throw in the towel?
Think about it, because you can deceive others about your character, you can beat your fist in your hand and say " I'm fighting!" when asked how are things. But only YOU know whether you're on the verge of giving in.

If you want this Persistent nature, ask!

Yeah, its that simple( contrary to the name of my blog- 'it's complicated! lol)

Ask your Father, He's been waiting for you to realise that you need this nature, and is just waiting ready to give it to you if you just ask!

I say today Girl... It's Simple!! lol
Be inspired by Tamar's Pesistance

  1. If you want this Persistent nature, ask!....this is is so true, when we ask God will give us this, He teach us and put us in situations to practice this.

Tamar was very pesistant indeed, and as you said even though we fail we have to continue fighting for what we want, our dreams and goals. We are the only ones who can get ourselves were we want through our determination.

I also see here as an inspiration.

  2. Interesting post. Persistence despite the set backs is what will lead us to our goal.
