Girl... Esther inspires me because...

...Of her Courage
... she stood before her giants, risking her life

Wow, when many of us ladies, just get thinking about Esther, we think, WOW. Her's was a story of courage, bravery, love and faith. However when I think about Esther, though all this is true about her, she inspires me because she wasn't born courageous.

Contrary to what we like to think many times that, women and men of God in the Bible where like superheroes, born with the perfect character attributes, but we forget that these were people, ordinary people who made themselves stand out for the whole population of the world, by the actions. They show that its inevitable to be fearful in the face of challenges, but it is equally possible to use these challenges to develop stronger and closer to God.

Esther's initial reaction to the persecution of her people and the possibility of her speaking before the king without being summoned, was the giant that stood before her, and if left to her her she probably would have coward away and hoped for the best. Though it is the falling of this very giant that we remember her today.

When Esther spoke the words: 'And so I will go to the king, which is against the law; and if I perish, I perish!”

In essence what she was showing was that...
...Courage is not the absence of fear, but rather the judgement that something else is more important than fear.

Enough said, now
Find out what is your giant, and go and face it,
Sounds easier said than done right? Ask Him for a helping hand.

  1. You know I was waiting for this one. Esther is one of the women I admire the most in the bible, because of her faith and acceptance to her calling and her great courage to to do what God placed in her to do.
