Of Her Faith
Ruth, who gave up everything, expecting nothing, and God honored her.
How many times in our lives expecting nothing in return?
As a bride, you give up your freedom to your your husband, expecting Love and Faithfulness in return,(Visa,Versa).
The essence of faith is believing 100% in what you have not seen, I mean this sounds crazy to logic, but that's exactly what God requires from us.
Ruth had no assurance that the Jews would accept her presence in their land let alone the assurance of her next meal. She gave up her comfort to follow a God whom she had seen only through her mother-in-law's actions.
Despite the fact that she had no reason to remain with Naomi, God had already seen the faith that she had in her, through her persistence, God had a plan for Ruth. She was to be part of the lineage of Our Lord Jesus; a foreigner, destined to have no future amongst God's people, not only prospered but was healed in her heart. By God choosing a true man of faith to be her husband.
Now, did Ruth imagine any of this, I guess not, but her faith in God's greatness made her ready to receive of God's greatness.
